Direct Counsel represents aJunior Associate to join its Antitrust Litigation practice in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a career in complex litigation while developing substantive experience in antitrust law.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in litigation, including legal research, legal writing, and discovery management. Prior exposure to antitrust concepts, including familiarity with the Sherman Act, is preferred but not required. The ability and willingness to quickly develop substantive antitrust knowledge will be important.
ResponsibilitiesConduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation and antitrust issues
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
Assist with discovery management and related litigation matters
Support attorneys throughout all stages of complex litigation
Develop familiarity with federal antitrust laws and related legal concepts
Work closely with experienced attorneys and take on increasing levels of responsibility
Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other legal professionals
Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Junior-level attorney with a strong foundation in civil litigation
Experience with legal research, writing, and discovery
Familiarity with antitrust concepts, particularly the Sherman Act, preferred
Strong academic credentials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality client service
Willingness and ability to quickly develop expertise in antitrust litigation
Base Salary: $215,000–$260,000, commensurate with experience and other relevant factors.
