Robert Half is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support client in Seattle with several active technology initiatives. This role will provide project leadership, structure, and coordination across approximately five concurrent IT projects involving cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, vendors, and internal technical teams.
Duration: 3–4-month contract
Location: Hybrid in Seattle, Washington
Scheduled: Monday-Friday (40-hours weekly)
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent IT projects from planning through implementation and completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate activities across engineers, system administrators, vendors, consultants, business stakeholders, and leadership.
- Provide regular project status updates and reporting, including progress, upcoming milestones, risks, dependencies, and outstanding decisions.
- Identify and track project risks, issues, and dependencies and drive appropriate follow-up and resolution.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure key decisions, requirements, and action items are captured.
- Support enterprise cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives, coordinating the technical resources responsible for implementation.
- Help technical teams stay organized and accountable to project commitments and deadlines.
- Coordinate vendor activities and ensure external partners remain aligned with project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Evaluate potential business impacts of technical changes and help coordinate communication and planning with affected stakeholders.
- Partner with the Corporate Senior Project Manager to align technical project activities with broader organizational initiatives.
- Facilitate project meetings, document action items, and ensure appropriate follow-through across technical teams.
- Support an organization with a strong mission by ensuring technology initiatives remain aligned with organizational priorities and business needs.
- Strong background in IT Project Management, ideally supporting enterprise technology environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects using a Waterfall project management methodology.
- Experience managing cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or other enterprise IT initiatives.
- Strong technical understanding with the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with engineers, administrators, vendors, and other technical resources.
- Experience developing and managing project plans, timelines, status reports, documentation, risks, dependencies, and deadlines.
- Experience coordinating multiple technical teams and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to drive projects forward and hold stakeholders accountable without personally performing the technical or engineering work.
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfortable working in a mission-driven environment and supporting the organization's broader goals and values.
