Product Development Engineer I

About the Role

At Advanced Ground Systems Engineering (AGSE), we specialize in designing and building ground support equipment for the world’s leading aerospace companies. We're looking for an innovative Product Development Engineer to bring ideas to life through creativity, precision, and hands-on execution.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and develop complete technical design packages including layouts, hand/FEA stress and deflection calculations, and production drawings.
• Write and check supporting engineering documentation such as test procedures, compliance reports, and maintenance manuals.
• Ensure fit, form, and function of designs while aligning with customer and internal requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Production to solve challenges and deliver exceptional products.
• Conduct and document product testing.
• Support production, QA, and customers with troubleshooting and post-delivery updates.
• Provide occasional field support and onsite customer visits.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Solid foundation in mechanical drafting and design analysis (stress, deflection, dynamics).

Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor and AutoCAD preferred).

Understanding of steel fabrication practices and industry standards.

Strong technical writing and communication skills.

A hands-on approach to solving problems and a passion for innovative design.
