Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design configure and maintain enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on Layer 2/Layer 3 switching technologies

Develop and implement network automation solutions to streamline provisioning configuration and troubleshooting

Manage and optimize network performance availability and security across data center and campus environments

Automate routine network operations using scripting and orchestration tools

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network integration and deployment efforts

Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis

Maintain up-to-date network documentation diagrams and operational procedures

Participate in change management incident response and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience

5 years of network engineering experience

Strong expertise in:

Layer 2/Layer 3 switching VLANs VRRP MC-LAG STP VTP PortChannel and routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP

Network design and troubleshooting in enterprise environments

Hands-on experience with network automation tools such as:

Demonstrated proficiency in Python Ansible or similar scripting/automation frameworks

REST APIs and network programmability concepts

Familiarity with major networking platforms e.g. Dell Cisco Arista Juniper

Solid understanding of TCP/IP DNS DHCP and network security fundamentals

This is a Contract position based out of Franklin, MA.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
