Production Assembler – Medical Device Manufacturing | 1st Shift

Pay: $16.50/hr
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
Shift: 1st Shift
Experience: No prior manufacturing experience required
Education: High School Diploma or GED

Job Summary

We are hiring a Production Assembler to support the manufacturing of high-quality medical device components used in implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs). Working under close supervision, the Production Assembler will perform a combination of assembly, testing, repair, and production tasks according to established procedures and detailed work instructions.

This is an entry-level opportunity, and prior manufacturing or medical device experience is not required. Candidates should be dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing repetitive work involving small components. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, testing, repair, and production operations on medical device components according to standardized procedures.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and verbal directions to ensure products are assembled correctly and consistently.
  • Handle small components and perform repetitive production tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records to support product traceability and documentation requirements.
  • Use basic computer systems and electronic data collection tools as required for the position.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE and safety equipment.
  • Communicate production issues, quality concerns, questions, and improvement ideas to supervisors or managers.
  • Support daily production goals, team objectives, and established process performance metrics.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude when working with coworkers and leadership.
  • Support company initiatives and comply with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • No prior manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written work instructions.
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on sequencing, timing, and importance.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic data collection systems and software.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and take direction from supervisors and trainers.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Ability to follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.

Work Environment

  • Medical device manufacturing and production environment.
  • May require standing or sitting for extended periods.
  • Repetitive production tasks and handling of small components.
  • Requires consistent attention to detail and quality throughout the workday.
  • Specific work attire, PPE, and safety requirements will be provided during onboarding and training.
