Position Summary
We are seeking a Logistics Specialist with at least 6 years of experience to lead Business Continuity Planning (BCP), software tracker management, and Total Asset Management (TAM). In this role, the specialist directly supports the Office of Security leadership in keeping mission-essential functions, assets, and software resources accounted for and ready to operate through any disruption.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Continuity Planning (in support of office leadership)
- Develop and maintain BCP documentation, including mission-essential functions, recovery priorities, and alternate site requirements, in accordance with NSPM-40, FCD 1, FCD 2, DoDD 3020.26, and DoDI 3020.42.
- Review and update the BCP annually and after major organizational or mission changes.
- Plan and support continuity exercises (at least annually) and deliver after-action reports with corrective actions.
- Provide status briefings to Office of Security leadership as requested.
Total Asset Management (TAM)
- Manage the full asset lifecycle (receipt, tagging, accountability, transfer, and disposition) in accordance with DoDI 5000.64 and the Agency's property accountability policy.
- Conduct semiannual physical inventories, including at St. Louis and Arnold, MO, and deliver reconciliation reports.
- Investigate asset discrepancies and report them with recommended resolutions.
- Support property custodians and hand-receipt holders with guidance and records maintenance.
Software Tracker and License Management
- Maintain the software tracker as the authoritative record of software assets, licenses, versions, renewal dates, and points of contact, in accordance with DoDI 5000.76.
- Reconcile tracker data against procurement records and deployed inventory, resolving discrepancies.
- Deliver monthly status reports on licenses, renewals, and compliance, and issue renewal notices at least 90 days before expiration.
General Logistics Support
- Coordinate with acquisition, IT, security, and facilities teams on logistics actions.
- Recommend process improvements to increase data accuracy and reduce manual effort.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of logistics experience, or 8 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree (14 years total).
- Active TS/SCI clearance, and a current CI polygraph or the ability to successfully complete one after start.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining BCPs and supporting senior leadership in continuity planning and exercises.
- Hands-on TAM experience across the asset lifecycle, including inventories, reconciliation, and property accountability.
- Experience managing a software tracker or software asset inventory, including license tracking, renewals, and compliance reporting.
- Working knowledge of federal and DoD continuity and property accountability policy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, with strong data management skills and attention to detail.
- General IT proficiency, including understanding of IT hardware and software terminology, the ability to enter and maintain data in databases.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including briefings for leadership.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple organizations.
- Ability to travel within CONUS about twice a year, mainly to St. Louis and Arnold, MO.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), including familiarity with its organizations, processes, and systems, to minimize transition-on time.
- Working knowledge of the Contingency Planning Tool (CPT).
- Experience supporting continuity programs within the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense.
- Familiarity with government property management systems and federal property accountability regulations.
- Knowledge and use of PeopleSoft to manage resources.
- Completed training in business continuity and Total Asset Management.
