We are looking for an experienced HR Operations Transformation Manager to provide leadership and direction for a manufacturing organization in Maple Plain, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position will guide daily HR operations while evaluating how the function can be improved for greater consistency, compliance, and scalability. The role will partner closely with HR leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to shape a stronger operating model and deliver a practical roadmap for future enhancements.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the HR Operations function on an interim basis, ensuring dependable support and clear direction during the engagement.
• Maintain smooth execution of core employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, job changes, personnel record administration, and separation processes.
• Review the current HR operating environment to identify strengths, risks, inefficiencies, and areas requiring stronger governance or accountability.
• Collaborate with HR leadership, business partners, payroll, and other stakeholders to uncover service gaps, clarify ownership, and align improvement priorities.
• Assess HR systems, workflows, reporting practices, and automation possibilities to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Create clear process documentation, service standards, and governance guidelines that support a more consistent HR experience.
• Design a future-state HR Operations model that defines responsibilities, decision-making structure, and operational expectations.
• Build a prioritized improvement plan focused on standardization, process optimization, automation, and long-term operational performance.
• Support transition planning and knowledge transfer activities to prepare the incoming permanent HR Operations leader for success.• 10+ years of experience in HR operations, HR transformation, or HR project leadership roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead HR functions through periods of change while maintaining day-to-day operational stability.
• Strong knowledge of HR compliance, policy administration, governance, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Experience evaluating and improving HR processes, service delivery models, and operational frameworks.
• Proven background in process improvement, implementation initiatives, and organizational development efforts.
• Ability to work effectively with senior HR leaders, business stakeholders, payroll teams, and centers of expertise.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
