Overview
An Automation Engineer is an entry-level engineering professional who develops foundational skills while supporting the delivery and deployment of industrial control and information systems through project engineering and automation technical services.
Responsibilities & Activities
Project Delivery
- Perform defined design and development tasks for industrial control and data applications under guidance.
- Develop project technical documentation as directed.
- Participate on site installation and commissioning teams.
- Provide field service and site engineering support as assigned.
Quality
- Develop applications in accordance with established best practices and system safety conventions.
- Execute test protocols and document results.
- Participate in design reviews and deliverable approvals.
- Work within assigned budgets, schedules, and scope.
Development& Collaboration
- Seek guidance, communicate progress, and incorporate feedback.
- Build familiarity with ECS project methods, tools, and standards. Develop
Knowledge & Experience
- Exposure to control and information systems used in manufacturing.
- Basic experience with electrical, computer, and electronic equipment.
- Elementary knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, motor controls, and relay theory.
- Basic understanding of industrial controllers, computers, and networking equipment.
- Awareness of project implementation and quality management practices.

Education & Qualifications
- Engineering or Technology B.S. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Manufacturing or a related technical field; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
