Chipton-Ross is currently seeking an Environmental Operator for a contract opportunity in Miami, OK. What You'll Do
As an Environmental Operator, you will play a key role in supporting production operations while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Perform production and assembly tasks according to work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and product specifications
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure quality requirements are met
- Package products and pull archived samples as needed
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Support team success by assisting with training and mentoring coworkers
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Up to 6 months of manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and support operational needs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shift
- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds without assistance
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work safely around chemicals and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Must meet vision requirements, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
