Job Description
We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join a precision manufacturing team in Beverly, Massachusetts. In this role, you will develop and refine machining programs for complex parts, partnering with machinists and engineers to improve throughput, maintain accuracy, and support reliable production. This position is ideal for someone who brings strong Mastercam capability and a practical understanding of milling operations in a high-performance shop environment.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, revise, and fine-tune CNC programs in Mastercam for intricate components produced on vertical and horizontal milling equipment.
• Review blueprints, 3D models, GD& T callouts, and technical instructions to translate design intent into efficient machining methods.
• Determine appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting approaches to balance part quality, cycle time, and machine performance.
• Assist with first-run validation on the shop floor, diagnose programming or machining issues, and implement adjustments that improve repeatability.
• Work closely with manufacturing personnel and engineering teams to strengthen production flow, increase output, and hold demanding tolerances.
• Keep program files, setup details, and revision records organized and up to date to support accurate production execution.
• Follow established quality and safety expectations throughout programming and process support activities.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts, including support for automated or palletized machining operations when needed.• At least 3 years of CNC programming experience within a manufacturing setting.
• Advanced proficiency with Mastercam and the ability to create effective programs for milling applications.
• Solid understanding of both vertical and horizontal milling processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, interpret GD& T, and work from CAD or solid models.
• Experience selecting tooling and improving machining strategies for efficiency and precision.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with Mazak Smooth Control, Mazak Palletech systems, or Fanuc controls is preferred.
• Background in high-mix, low-volume machining or similarly complex production environments is a plus.
