General Laborer/ Material Handler

Volt is hiring for General Laborersand Material Handlers for a leading manufacturing company in Hayward, CA.

As a General Laborer, you will:

• Use basic hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and grinders to complete assigned tasks
• Support daily production operations in a manufacturing environment
• Assist with blending, packaging, and production activities
• Assist with equipment setup and production changeovers
• Perform general production support duties throughout the facility
• Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized condition
• Follow work instructions and safety procedures
• Work closely with production teams to meet daily production goals
• Support various departments as needed

As a Material Handler, you will:

• Move raw materials, containers, pallets, and finished products throughout the facility
• Stage materials for production and packaging operations
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Supply production departments with materials needed to support daily operations
• Verify materials and inventory for accuracy
• Maintain warehouse and storage areas in an organized condition
• Follow company safety procedures and material handling guidelines
• Support shipping, receiving, and production teams as needed

Schedule:Monday-Friday5:30 AM - 2:00 PM This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, construction, landscaping, automotive, or industrial environments preferred
• Experience using basic hand and power tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and grinders
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the day
• Strong attendance, reliability, and work ethic
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Pay Rate:

$21.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
