The Panther Group is seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector I to join our client’s quality team in theBethel, CT, area.This position is responsible for inspecting parts and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
Schedule3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Training will be provided on 1st shift. Candidates must be available to train on 1st shift before transitioning to the regular 3rd shift schedule.
What You’ll DoPerform developmental, first-run production, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assemblies.
Inspect components using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and other inspection tools.
Perform detailed visual inspections, including inspection under a microscope.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and Inspection Test Masters.
Analyze inspection data and identify deviations from established specifications.
Prepare rejection tags and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for issues involving dimensions, finishes, materials, processes, or other quality requirements.
Approve and stamp acceptable parts in accordance with established procedures.
Complete inspection documentation and other required quality paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
Perform data entry and data analysis related to inspection activities.
Follow established quality procedures and documentation requirements.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Extremely detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/prints and specifications.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficient with computers and standard office software.
Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions and established procedures.
Experience with optical measuring equipment.
Experience performing inspections using a microscope.
Medical device inspection experience.
Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
High school diploma or equivalent.
