Available Shifts

DSP 1: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

DSP 2: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

DSP 3: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM

We are looking for a Direct Support Specialist / Office Assistant to join our team in a contract-to-permanent role. This position combines compassionate, community-based client support with administrative and front office responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. The person in this role will help individuals work toward personal goals while also supporting daily office operations, documentation, and communication. Candidates who are fluent in English and Spanish and bring a service-focused approach will thrive in this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one support that reflects each client’s service objectives and promotes meaningful progress in daily life.

• Guide individuals in building practical skills related to employment preparation, home living, money management, and effective communication.

• Help clients maintain consistent routines and participate in community-based activities that encourage greater independence.

• Transport clients safely to appointments, programs, and community destinations using a reliable personal vehicle.

• Document services, client updates, and progress notes accurately and submit required records within established timeframes.

• Work closely with families, employers, and care teams to support coordinated services and positive client outcomes.

• Uphold client dignity, safety, and rights while following all applicable organizational and program guidelines.

• Assist with office support duties such as answering inbound calls, greeting visitors, managing administrative tasks, and completing data entry.

• Participate in team meetings, required training sessions, and supervisory check-ins, and take on additional assignments as needed.

• Fluency in both Spanish and English is required for effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, dependable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance are required.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a field-based and office setting.
• Strong written documentation skills and comfort using mobile devices and Microsoft Office are required.
• Detail-oriented, patient, and respectful communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Clearance through the required screening process and current CPR/First Aid certification are required.
