Open Enrollment Representative / Customer Service

Location: Elkridge, MD

Pay: $24.00/hr

Work Environment

This is an on-site position in a busy, high-volume call center environment. Employees work in an open cubicle setting and are expected to maintain strict adherence to schedules, quality standards, HIPAA requirements, and productivity metrics. Reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance are critical to success in this role.

Schedule

Training: 10/19/2026 10/30/2026

Must be available to work either 8:00 AM 4:00 PM or 10:00 AM 6:00 PM

7.5 paid hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Must be available throughout the full contract period with no planned time off

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr

Duration: 2-Month Contract

About the Role

We are seeking customer-focused professionals to support a healthcare open enrollment team. In this role, you will assist members by answering questions regarding healthcare eligibility, coverage options, and benefits information. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling a high volume of inbound calls, navigating multiple computer systems, and delivering exceptional customer service while meeting quality and productivity expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to inbound calls regarding healthcare eligibility, coverage, and benefits questions

Research and interpret eligibility information from multiple electronic systems

Provide clear, accurate, and professional customer support to members

Handle high call volumes while maintaining quality and performance metrics

Document interactions and update records accurately

Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company policies

Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and schedule adherence throughout the contract period

Required Skills & Experience

At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare

Call center experience with high-volume phone support

Understanding of healthcare insurance, eligibility, and coverage concepts

Knowledge of medical terminology

Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills

Proficiency using Windows-based computer systems

Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment

Ability to pass a background check

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
