Mechanical Project Manager – Special Projects

Our client, a growing mechanical construction company, is looking for a Project Manager to oversee special projects from initial planning through final closeout. This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional who can manage project financials, schedules, contracts, and field coordination while building strong relationships with customers and project partners.
The Project Manager will work closely with field superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal teams to keep projects on track, identify potential issues early, and ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The role will also support estimating, business development, and sales efforts to help generate future opportunities.
Project Manager Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical construction projects from kickoff through completion.
- Prepare estimates, proposals, schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Manage project contracts, purchase orders, change orders, billing, and costs.
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and address project concerns promptly.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and resolve issues before they impact delivery.
- Support business development and help identify opportunities for future work.
- Provide regular project and financial updates to company leadership.
Project Manager Qualifications
- At least 2 years of construction project management experience with at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction processes, blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.
- Experience with estimating, project costing, scheduling, change orders, and AIA documentation.
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Bluebeam, CAD, and Microsoft Project experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project and customer sites.
