Our client is a technical consulting firm that specializes in quality assurance, quality control, and commissioning on large, complex industrial and mission-critical projects. They need a QA/QC Manager to lead quality on a large project in Sullivan, IN. You'll own the QC program, lead the inspection team, and make sure the mechanical systems are built right, tested right, and documented right before turnover.
The package: hourly W-2 with overtime after 40, per diem for on-site work, and health, dental, and vision benefits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? QC Program: Build and run the QC program: project quality plans, ITPs, and inspection procedures.
? Mechanical Standards: Set quality standards and acceptance criteria for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
? Team Leadership: Lead the QC team, including inspectors and field foremen.
? Inspections & Testing: Oversee mechanical inspections, pressure testing, flushing, and system verification.
? NCRs & Corrective Action: Run the non-conformance and corrective action process to closeout.
? Coordination: Work with AHJs and commissioning teams. Support startup and functional testing.
? Metrics & Turnover: Track quality metrics, own turnover docs, and build QC staffing plans and budgets.
QUALIFICATIONS
? 3–5 years of QA/QC inspection or construction quality experience, including 1–2 years supervising or managing.
? OSHA 30 certification before arriving on site.
? Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and code compliance.
? Reads mechanical drawings and specs. Hands-on with mechanical testing, inspections, and commissioning.
? Strong documenter and leader with a field-first, safety-first mindset.
PREFERRED
? Large-scale industrial or mission-critical (data center) project experience.
? Commissioning, TAB, and system startup experience. Lean or continuous improvement exposure is a plus.
? QC and document control platforms (ACC, Procore, CxAlloy) and writing ITPs and QC plans.
