What You’ll Do as Assistant Manager

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and upholding the Fishhook Way. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and supporting cooks, cashiers, and other team members.
• Opening and/or closing the restaurant.
• Monitoring employee attendance, breaks, and performance.
• Assisting with training new employees.
• Ensuring excellent customer service and handling customer concerns professionally.
• Overseeing food quality, portioning, and order accuracy.
• Managing ticket and customer wait times.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Monitoring inventory and organizing supplies.
• Ensuring cash-handling procedures are followed.
• Promoting a safe and positive workplace.
• Communicating concerns to ownership/management.
• Stepping in to assist during busy periods.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following experience is preferred:

• Restaurant or food-service experience.
• Previous shift lead, supervisor, or management experience.
• Cash-handling/POS experience.
• Experience training or supervising employees.

Physical Requirements

This role involves standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and working around commercial kitchen equipment, including fryers.
