Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a CNC Machinist, where you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. You will work on the 1st shift from Monday through Thursday, 5am to 3:30pm, in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Study blueprints, sketches, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
  • Enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
  • Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
  • Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
  • Confer with production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Essential Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and CNC machines.
  • Experience working with Mazak machines.
  • 3+ years of recent CNC machining experience, preferably with 4 and 5 axis but 3 axis is acceptable.
  • Experience in set-ups, runs, and true machining.
  • Experience with Mazatrol SmoothX Controls and 7 axis machines.
  • Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Mazak 3-5 axis machining experience with CNC Lathe experience.
  • Mill-turn experience is a must.
  • Fanuc controls experience is fine but Mazatrol SmoothX Controls is preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
