About the Role
Premier Global Links LLC is seeking an experienced FSQA Manager to lead food safety, quality assurance, sanitation, and regulatory compliance programs within a food processing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong food manufacturing experience, leadership skills, and expertise in HACCP and USDA-regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the FSQA department and develop high-performing team members.
- Manage HACCP, Food Safety Plans, GMPs, SSOPs, and Environmental Monitoring Programs.
- Lead food safety investigations, CAPA, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee sanitation verification, product hold/release, and product quality compliance.
- Serve as the primary liaison with USDA-FSIS personnel.
- Lead internal, customer, third-party, and regulatory audits, including BRCGS.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, food safety, and labeling requirements.
- Develop FSQA training programs and communicate quality and food safety trends.
- Partner with Production and other departments on process improvements and new products.
- Support facility start-up, pre-operational sanitation, and second-shift activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in food processing and quality management.
- Management or supervisory experience with the ability to coach and develop teams.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, sanitation, microbial hazards, and food safety regulations.
- Experience leading diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a food processing environment, including cold temperatures and production areas.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Meat processing experience with USDA-regulated products.
- Experience with USDA-FSIS, BRCGS, M3, Redzone, or TraceGains.
Additional Information
- On-site position in Valley, Alabama
- Relocation assistance is not provided.
- Occasional travel and non-standard hours may be required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, and work in temperatures below 32F.
