Job Title: Production Assembler Shock Assembly

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling shock components used in off-road and powersports equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will work on a production line using hand and power tools to build shocks according to written work instructions, meeting daily production quotas while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble shock components on a production line using hand and power tools according to detailed written work instructions.
  • Build shocks for a variety of equipment such as ATVs, snowmobiles, side-by-sides, motorcycles, and similar vehicles.
  • Meet or exceed daily production quotas, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Use mechanical assembly techniques to fit, align, and secure components accurately.
  • Measure and verify parts using tools such as tape measures to ensure correct dimensions and proper fit.
  • Handle materials and components safely, including lifting items up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Perform small motor skill tasks such as stickering, labeling, and cleaning components or work areas.
  • Work along a long metal table production line in close quarters with other team members, coordinating tasks to keep the line moving smoothly.
  • Follow all safety guidelines while operating hand and power tools and working around powered equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including routine cleaning of tools, equipment, and surrounding areas.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to report issues, clarify instructions, and ensure production goals are met.
  • Contribute to building approximately 700 shocks per day during peak periods, with cycle times of about 25 minutes per shock, and adjust as production targets change over time.
  • Support overtime production needs by working additional hours when required to meet demand.

Essential Skills

  • 36 months of previous experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing assembly or production assembly work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment with strict daily quotas.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly to understand and follow written work instructions and communicate with the team.
  • Comfort working on an assembly line in close quarters with other employees.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime on a regular basis.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Skill in production assembler, manufacturing assembler, or general laborer in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience working with hand and power tools in a high-volume production environment.
  • Familiarity with assembly line operations on long metal table stations.
  • Experience performing small motor skill tasks such as stickering, labeling, and detailed cleaning.
  • Comfort working in warm or hot environments with fans and power tools operating nearby.
  • Ability to maintain focus and consistency when working toward high daily production targets, such as building hundreds of units per day.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site at a shock manufacturing facility in Riverside, CA, working on a production line along long metal table stations. The environment is fast-paced and quota-driven, with daily targets of approximately 700 shocks during peak periods and around 600 shocks after seasonal adjustments. You will work in close quarters with other team members and regularly use hand and power tools, as well as measuring tools like tape measures. The facility can be very hot, with fans operating to improve airflow while power tools are in use. The role requires regular overtime and involves standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Dress is practical and safety-focused, suitable for a manufacturing and production setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
