Our family-owned lumber yard in the Rosedale area is adding a full-time, direct-hire CDL-A professional to haul building materials across the East Coast and New England. Expect 2–3 overnights per week, no weekends, and competitive hourly pay from $28.00 to $34.00 based on experience.
Your Mission
Protect each load, deliver on schedule, and be the face of a company with decades of industry credibility.
- Run regional and OTR routes; call customers prior to arrival to coordinate a smooth handoff.
- Confirm load accuracy against shipping documents; manage unloadingreceiver may self-unload, you may hand-unload, or deploy a Moffett when required.
- Drive a 13-speed, split manual tractor with complete adherence to safety policies, posted speed limits, and traffic laws.
- Keep your equipment clean and in peak condition; complete thorough pre/post-trip inspections and required logs/reports.
- Maintain meticulous records: keep fuel receipts for IFTA and use an ELD to track on/off duty and driving time per DOT rules.
- Address customer concerns professionally or escalate to management when needed.
What It Takes
- Current CDL A and safe driving record.
- 5+ years of verifiable driving experience (company driver background ideal).
- Deep familiarity with DOT regulations and a process-focused mindset.
- Customer-first communication and service skills.
Physical Readiness
- Lift up to 70 lbs and operate a Moffett forklift as needed.
- Willingness to handle product and perform hand-unloads when required.
- Consistent, high-energy work habits.
- Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug-screening.
Pay, Perks & Schedule
- Hourly Pay: $28.00 – $34.00 DOE
- Full-time, direct hire
- 2–3 overnights weekly; weekends off
