Our Power Group provides full-service engineering and design solutions for utility, institutional, and commercial clients across the U.S., with a strong focus on reliability, sustainability, and innovation. As part of our continued growth in thePowersector, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineerto join our multidisciplinary team in our Boston office. This role plays a critical part in shaping the design of high-voltage substations that support the safe, efficient, and resilient operation of the nation’s electric grid.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer in Vanderweil’s Power Group, you will be serving with and mentoring a team designing unique projects involving campus, industrial and institutional energy and utility generation systems, focused on simple cycle gas turbine and reciprocating engine power plants, combined heat and power, alternative fuels like biogas and hydrogen, fuel cells, thermal and battery storage, microgrids, among many other cutting-edge technologies. We serve a diverse set of clients including academic, biopharma, casino/hotel resorts, mission critical, and large scale and municipal utilities, among many other sectors.

This is a high-visibility role, and the total compensation we expect to pay for this position is dependent on years of experience, licensure, education, geographic location, and project portfolio. The expected compensation range is $165,000 to $205,000. This range is intended as a guideline based on the anticipated qualifications and responsibilities of the role; depending on a candidate’s experience, expertise, and overall qualifications, compensation may be considered above this range when appropriate.
