We are proud that multiple attorneys from PLG have gone on to become judges, a testament to the caliber of talent and leadership within our firm.

WHO WE WANT ON OUR TEAM

The Associate Attorney we seek is proactive, resourceful, accountable, and committed to becoming an exceptional advocate. You take ownership of your work, welcome feedback, and thrive in a collaborative environment that values growth, initiative, and excellence.

  • Driven: You are driven to learn, improve, and achieve outstanding results for your clients. You embrace challenges and bring a strong work ethic to everything you do.
  • Proactive: You identify solutions, take initiative, and move cases forward without waiting for constant direction.
  • Team-First: You understand that great outcomes come from strong collaboration. You support your colleagues, seek mentorship, and willingly share knowledge with others.
  • Sharp Under Pressure: You remain calm in challenging situations, think critically, and make sound decisions while handling fast-paced and high-stakes matters.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

This is a hands-on litigation position offering immediate courtroom experience and significant professional development opportunities.

  • Represent clients in Washington's Municipal, District, and Superior Courts.
  • Draft and argue motions, including evidentiary, suppression, and other pretrial motions.
  • Develop case strategy through investigation, legal research, and collaboration with fellow attorneys.
  • Negotiate with prosecutors and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Counsel clients through one of the most difficult periods of their lives with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication.
  • Learn from and collaborate with a team that includes former prosecutors and highly accomplished criminal defense attorneys.
  • Participate in content creation, community engagement, marketing initiatives, and branding efforts that support the continued growth of the firm.
  • Maintain the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and client confidentiality.

WHY PLG

At PLG, we don't simply process cases. We fight for our clients with integrity, creativity, and relentless advocacy.

Our experienced team of criminal defense attorneys possesses more combined criminal law experience than any criminal defense firm in the Pacific Northwest. We regularly collaborate on strategy, support each other in court, exchange ideas, and challenge one another to grow professionally.

This position offers a unique opportunity to accelerate your development as a criminal defense attorney while gaining meaningful courtroom experience and work among some of the region's most respected attorneys.
