About the Role: Mathnasium of Myrtle Beach is looking for a passionate and motivated Math Instructor to help students unlock their full potential in mathematics! Responsibilities:- Teach/tutor in-center using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
- Assess student understanding and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
- Guide students through the Mathnasium curriculum using proven instructional techniques
- Track and record student progress and communicate updates to center leadership
- Create a positive, encouraging, and energetic learning environment
- Support students from elementary through high school levels across a range of math topics
Qualificiations:- Strong proficiency in math through at least Algebra II or higher (Pre-Calculus/Calculus a plus)
- Passion for math and working with students
- Experience working with children or teens in a tutoring, teaching, or mentoring capacity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, enthusiastic, and student-focused approach to instruction
- Ability to work part-time afternoon, evening, and/or weekend hours
- Current enrollment in or completion of a college degree preferred
- All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check
