Description:
The HR Administrative Assistant provides administrative and organizational support to the Human Resources department and employees. This position assists with employee records, onboarding, recruiting, benefits, training, and general HR activities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Requirements:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR department.
- Assist with the recruitment and hiring process, including reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and completing new-hire paperwork.
- Assist with onboarding new employees and ensuring required documentation is completed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and files.
- Assist employees with general HR questions and direct questions to the appropriate person when needed.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and employee benefit-related questions.
- Assist with safety training and other employee training programs.
- Prepare HR-related reports, spreadsheets, forms, letters, and correspondence.
- Assist with employee events, recognition programs, and engagement activities.
- Help ensure HR policies, procedures, and documentation are followed consistently.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must have Microsoft Office experience.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; HR-related education, training, or experience is a plus.
- Previous administrative, office, or HR experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working with computers, email, Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional, approachable, and service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based with regular interaction with employees throughout the plant.
- May require occasional time in manufacturing areas.
- Must follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements when entering production areas.
- May occasionally require overtime or work outside of normal business hours for employee events, training, or other HR needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move office materials and supplies.
- Ability to safely navigate manufacturing and office environments.
