Quality Control Specialist (Housing Programs) – Direct HireLocation: Miami, FL (Miami-Dade) – On-siteSchedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)Salary: $55,000/yearStart Date: Targeting October 19, 2026

Job Summary

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for conducting quality control reviews, monitoring SEMAP performance, and supporting other quality-related activities. This role also trains staff on performance metrics and regulatory/program requirements and completes assignments to meet operational needs and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform work that supports SEMAP performance, contractual standards, and other required performance measures
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of program regulations, federal guidance/notices, and internal policies and procedures
  • Use automated systems/tools (system of record, proprietary software, rent reasonableness systems, HUD PIC/EIV, and Microsoft Officeespecially Excel) to complete quality activities
  • Conduct quality control file reviews in accordance with prescribed procedures and regulations
  • Perform ongoing SEMAP confirmatory reviews across indicators; report results, recommend improvements, and help forecast performance throughout the fiscal year
  • Assist with developing training tools, procedures, and job aids to strengthen staff knowledge and application
  • Confirm error corrections in relevant systems
  • Provide feedback to management and corporate partners regarding quality observations and issues
  • Support preparation for and participation in independent program reviews
  • Support accurate and timely HUD PIC reporting and maintenance
  • May assist with transactions such as new admissions, reexaminations, portability, and moves
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education: Two years of college, business, or technical school (additional experience may substitute for some/all education requirements)
  • Experience in quality assurance, auditing, or similar activities preferred
  • Must obtain required certifications within specified timeframes
  • Knowledge of HCV programrequirements/policies/procedures strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills (Excel proficiency highly valued)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and math skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • English proficiency required; Spanish and/or Creole is a plus
