LHH is partnering with a small organization to identify a temporary Accounting Manager to help out for the next three months. This role is a hybrid role in Seattle, WA with a team that is extremely flexible. You will be managing full cycle accounting tasks and be supporting the CEO directly. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of high level accounting experience and be comfortable working independently. This position is offering a quick interview process to get some help immediately. Job Duties:
- Manage the full cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Process payroll, payroll tax filings, employee deductions, and benefits administration while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and investigate discrepancies as needed.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
- Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and assist with budgeting and forecasting to support business operations and financial planning.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals to facilitate annual audits and tax preparation.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Over 6 years of accounting experience at the senior level.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience preparing monthly financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar ERP/accounting systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $52.00 per hour
