About the Role: One Shot Automation LLC is looking for a talented and driven Project Engineer – Ignition/SCADA Programmer to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and deploy Ignition/SCADA applications for industrial automation projects
- Program and configure HMI screens, historian, alarming, and reporting modules within the Ignition platform
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions
- Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, databases, and third-party devices using OPC-UA, Modbus, and other communication protocols
- Perform system commissioning, on-site startup, and troubleshooting of SCADA and control systems
- Develop and maintain project documentation including functional specs, network diagrams, and I/O lists
- Provide ongoing technical support and system improvements for existing client installations
Requirements:- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA platform
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) is a strong plus
- Experience with industrial communication protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP
- Ignition Core Certification (or ability to obtain) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset
- Willingness to travel to client sites for commissioning and support as needed
