Part-Time Personal Driver - Early Morning Route

Location: Lakewood / Tacoma / Puyallup, WA
Pay: $22/hour - $24/hour
Schedule: Approximately 5:30 AM–9:30/10:30 AM, 4–5 days per week
Vehicle & Fuel: Provided

I am looking for a dependable, trustworthy, and experienced driver to assist me with an early-morning business route in the Lakewood, Tacoma, and Puyallup area.

This is a unique, laid-back part-time position. You will meet me at my home in Lakewood at approximately 5:30 AM and drive my provided truck while I complete a daily route servicing several local businesses. The route generally consists of four stops in Tacoma, one stop in Puyallup, a bank stop in Tacoma, and then returning to Lakewood.

At each location, I handle the business-related work while you remain with the vehicle. There is a significant amount of downtime between driving, so much of the job consists of waiting comfortably in the truck between stops. Occasionally, there may be a few additional errands on the return trip.

The route generally finishes between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM depending on the day.

Schedule

This position will generally be 4–5 mornings per week. I currently have another part-time driver who will continue covering approximately two days per week when available, so some flexibility in weekly scheduling is helpful. Sunday availability is generally not required.

What I'm Looking For

The right person will be:

• At least 21 years old
• Dependable and punctual, particularly for a 5:30 AM start
• An experienced, cautious, and confident driver
• Comfortable driving in rain, darkness, and normal Western Washington winter weather
• Trustworthy and discreet around sensitive business operations
• Comfortable with periods of downtime between stops
• Comfortable around dogs my Australian Cattle Dog, Wyatt, accompanies us on the route every day
• Professional but comfortable working in a very relaxed, informal environment

Requirements

Employment will be contingent upon:

• Valid Washington driver's license
• Acceptable Washington State driving record
• Criminal background check
• Reliable transportation to and from the starting location in Lakewood
• Ability to consistently arrive by 5:30 AM

No personal vehicle is used for the route. The vehicle and fuel are provided.
