Machine Operator I – 1st & 2nd Shift

Pay:

1st Shift: $18.00/hour

2nd Shift: $18.50/hour

Schedule:

1st Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM–11:00 PM

Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating automated wire cutting and stripping equipment while ensuring finished products meet required specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with measurements, and looking for a long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate automated wire cutting and stripping machines
  • Set up machines according to process sheets
  • Change cutting blades, rollers, and guide tubes as needed
  • Accurately measure materials using a ruler or tape measure
  • Monitor equipment to maintain quality and minimize material scrap
  • Count, bundle, and organize finished products
  • Inspect finished products and remove defective materials
  • Read and interpret production prints
  • Record applicable production information
  • Perform basic machine troubleshooting
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Move between machines and workstations based on production needs
Qualifications
  • Must be able to accurately and effectively read a ruler/tape measure
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic math skills, including fractions
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to perform repetitive production work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand process sheets
  • Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience
  • Experience operating automated machinery
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, or similar measuring equipment
  • Experience reading prints, drawings, or schematics
  • Previous machine setup experience
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand movements
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Regularly lift and move up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, and pull as required
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
