Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction

Baltimore, MD

$100,000-$145,000

A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee asphalt paving, site development, utility, and infrastructure projects throughout the Baltimore area. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong estimating, project management, and field coordination experience.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and procurement
  • Coordinate with Superintendents and field teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Track project costs, change orders, and overall project performance
  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Interface with clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Superintendent in heavy civil construction
  • Strong background in asphalt paving, site development, underground utilities, or roadway projects
  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience with project management and cost tracking software preferred
