- Inspect aerospace components, parts, and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and visual inspections as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and GD&T requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface defects, damage, workmanship, and other nonconformities.
- Verify materials, components, identification, and documentation for accuracy and traceability.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming material or production issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with machinists, assemblers, engineers, and production personnel to resolve quality issues.
- Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions when quality discrepancies are identified.
- Follow established aerospace quality procedures, safety requirements, and company standards.
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure the work area remains clean, organized, and suitable for precision inspection.
- Support continuous improvement efforts while maintaining high standards for product quality and customer requirements.
