Sr. Engineer, Integration & Test

Will be responsible for hands-on integration, functional testing, troubleshooting, and qualification activities for embedded computing products and systems. This role provides daily technical leadership to Integration & Test personnel, drives issue resolution, ensures test rigor, and supports successful project execution. Responsibilities span board-level, chassis-level, cabinet-level, and system level embedded computing products, including SBCs, Ethernet switches, PCIe switches, storage modules, I/O products, and architectures such as VNX+, VPX, VME, PCIe, and ECP.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
8+ years of embedded computer system integration, system-level testing, hardware/software troubleshooting, verification/validation, qualification testing, or technical leadership preferred.
Experience leading technical test activities, mentoring personnel, coordinating project/test priorities, supporting customer/project execution, or serving as a technical lead.
Strong embedded computing background with hands-on integration and system-level test experience. Practical hardware/software troubleshooting capability across prototype, production, repeat order, and RMA environments. Ability to lead daily test execution, coordinate priorities, mentor team members, and drive issues to closure. Working knowledge of Windows and Linux OS installation, configuration, drivers, patches, networking, and troubleshooting. Experience with embedded architectures and interfaces such as VNX+, VPX, VME, PCIe, Ethernet, RS232/422/485, SATA, I2C/IPMB, JTAG, and FPGA-based systems. Scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Ruby, LabVIEW, or similar tools. Familiarity with diagnostic and test tools such as iPerf, CrystalDisk, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and multimeters. Experience supporting environmental testing (thermal, humidity, shock, vibration, altitude). Strong technical writing skills for test plans, procedures, reports, qualification documentation, and verification/validation records. Working knowledge of documentation control, configuration management, engineering change processes, PLM/PDM systems, ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, QA forms, and controlled test records. Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, layouts, test data, and customer requirements.
Embedded computing hardware integration and system-level test expertise. Advanced troubleshooting capability across hardware, software, networking, and system interactions. Technical leadership, mentoring, and coordination of test personnel and activities. Strong scripting/automation capability (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Ruby, LabVIEW). Proficiency with diagnostic and performance tools (iPerf, CrystalDisk, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, multimeters). Ability to support environmental test activities and interpret resulting data. Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Knowledge of configuration management, documentation control, PLM/PDM systems, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead daily Integration & Test activities, including test prioritization, technical direction, team coordination, issue tracking, schedule support, and project execution.
Integrate, configure, troubleshoot, and functionally test embedded computer systems, chassis assemblies, cabinet-level systems, and board-level products.
Install, configure, verify, and troubleshoot operating systems, firmware, drivers, networking, test software, updates, and related system software.
Execute system-level functional test, verification, validation, qualification, and environmental testing per approved procedures and customer/internal requirements.
Qualify new R&D and vendor embedded products, including SBCs, Ethernet switches, PCIe switches, storage modules/media, and I/O products.
Develop, execute, review, and maintain test plans, procedures, test reports, qualification records, verification/validation documentation, product manuals, and supporting technical records.
Maintain traceability between requirements, verification methods, test cases, results, and objective evidence.
Develop or support scripts, automation tools, regression tests, data capture utilities, and diagnostic tools to improve repeatability, debug capability, and test coverage.
Provide technical leadership to test personnel through mentoring, reviewing test approaches/results, supporting issue resolution, and driving corrective actions.
Communicate test status, qualification progress, action items, risks, capacity concerns, and project updates to Engineering leadership and cross-functional teams.
Support debug, failure analysis, design reviews, NPI activities, project planning, qualification planning, and risk reviews with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Engineering.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, QA forms, test records, configuration controls, and quality requirements during integration, test, verification, and qualification activities.
Provide technical support to Sales, Project Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, and customers. Support long-range test planning, lab planning, resource/capacity planning, engineering status inputs, audits, and management review activities. Perform rework verification testing following manufacturing or design corrective actions.
