Receiving Inspector
Location: Warsaw, IN 46580
Duration: 1 year
Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week
Job Summary
We are looking for Receiving Inspectors to perform dimensional, cosmetic, and documentation inspections of finished and in-process products. The role requires strong blueprint/GD&T knowledge, hands-on inspection experience, and proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional, cosmetic, and documentation inspections.
- Review manufacturing, inspection, labeling, and packaging records for accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect products, labels, packaging, and inserts against specifications.
- Collect and evaluate returned products according to specifications.
- Identify documentation and quality issues and make appropriate dispositions.
- Work closely with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and other inspectors.
- Accurately record and maintain inspection and traceability data.
Required Skills
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, scales, comparators, CMM, and similar inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of shop math, including decimals and fractions.
- Ability to interpret routers, process tickets, inspection records, and traceability documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic/proficient computer skills, including Excel.
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs.
Preferred
- ASQ Certified Mechanical Inspector certification.
- Previous mechanical/quality inspection experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or medical-device environment.
