Job Description: Payroll Analyst

Location: Raleigh, NC 27609 (Hybrid: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Pay Rate: $55.22 – $65.22 per hour

Duration: 4-Month Contract

Hours: 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to support day-to-day operations for a fast-paced, multi-national corporate environment. In this role, you will ensure payroll data is accurate, processed correctly, and fully compliant with legal, regulatory, and corporate financial requirements.

Essential Duties & Job Functions

  • Support daily operations of the U.S. payroll team, managing end-to-end processing for expats, relocations, new hires, leaves of absence (LOAs), benefits, terminations, and employee status changes.
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve inquiries and cases submitted through the Employee Service Center ticketing system.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, internal finance policies (Controller’s Manual), and applicable federal, state, and local tax and labor laws.
  • Build strong partnerships with key business stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally across departments.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant payroll operations experience.
  • System Knowledge: Working knowledge of Workday Payroll is strictly required.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Visio, and intermediate Excel skills (such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional time management, problem-solving, data analysis, multi-tasking, and prioritization capabilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Work Ethic: Highly detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing corporate environment while meeting strict processing deadlines.
  • Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required; formal certification is a plus, but heavy emphasis is placed on hands-on experience.
