Instrument Assembler

Location: Milpitas, CA 95035 – Onsite

Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Contract: 1 year, with possible extension

Job Summary

We are looking for an Assembler 2, Instrument to support the assembly of flow cytometers, sub-assemblies, and related medical device products.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical assembly of optical, mechanical, fluidic, and electronic components
• Follow assembly instructions, SOPs, work orders, BOMs, and released procedures
• Use hand tools and perform in-process inspections
• Complete required production and device history documentation
• Collect and record measurements and production data
• Work closely with Engineering, QA, Technicians, and Production teams
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Support process improvements and new product introductions when needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of related assembly experience in a high-tech/manufacturing environment preferred
• Hands-on experience using hand tools
• Good mechanical aptitude, dexterity, and hand-eye coordination
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Ability to read work orders, BOMs, SOPs, and assembly instructions
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus
• Knowledge of ISO 9000, cGMP, or 21 CFR Part 820 is a plus
