Key Accountabilities
- Own Flight Control Laws development activities from requirements flown down, implementation up to integration and testing
- Contribute to controlarchitecturesfrom high level needs and characteristics
- Contribute tolinear design – trimming andlinearizingflight dynamics models,control laws synthesisand linear analyses
- Contribute tononlinear design and verification, and clearance testing
- Actively work on improving processes, methods, and tools for flight control
Requirements
- BS / MS in Aeronautical Engineering or related fields
- 10+ years of professional experience inFlightControlLaw development in fly-by-wire programs
- Expert-level knowledge of fixed-wing handling qualities.
- Industry experience with and understanding of aircraft electronicflightcontrolsystems.
- Background in aerodynamics andflightdynamics (understand the physics you want tocontrol).
- VersionControland Requirements Management: experience with versioncontrolsystems like Git and requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama. Ability to maintain traceability and manage complex datasets is crucial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interface withseniorleaders, partners, and suppliers with clarity and confidence.
- Attention to Detail: a meticulous approach to ensure the accuracy and completeness of engineering artifacts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
