We are hiring for multiple positions in our Production Department and are looking for dependable, hands-on individuals who are mechanically inclined, have vehicle mechanic experience, or have a general labor background.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

POSITIONS INCLUDE

General Labor | Mechanic Helper | Production Support

General Labor

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, assist mechanics, mechanic helpers, and the project team with general production and maintenance duties.

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Assist with general facility maintenance and cleanup.
  • Clean and properly store tools and equipment.
  • Assist the production team with daily tasks.
  • Learn and use basic tools and equipment related to transit bus repair and maintenance.

Mechanic Helper

Assist experienced mechanics with the repair and overhaul of buses, vans, trucks, and other automotive vehicles.

  • Assist with raising vehicles using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
  • Assist with removal and replacement of engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, starters, alternators, generators, A/C components, and suspension parts.
  • Assist with electrical, HVAC, and auto body repairs.
  • Perform minor body repairs and assist with welding as needed.
  • Replace or adjust lights and assist with accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, windshield wipers, windshields, and instrument panels.
  • Follow directions from mechanics and management and work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude required.
  • Vehicle mechanic, mechanic helper, automotive, mechanical, or general labor experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn basic tools and equipment used in transit bus repair.
  • Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be comfortable with hands-on work and getting dirty.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

  • Carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Climb up and down ladders.
  • Sit, stand, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, and crawl.
  • Twist and turn while working in confined spaces.
  • Perform physically demanding, hands-on mechanical and production work.
