The Opportunity:

You will join a dynamic commercial specialty contractor that empowers key leaders with real authority and exceptional growth potential. As an Estimator/Project Manager at Installtec, Inc., you will lead high-profile commercial bids and oversee project execution across specialty trades.

This pivotal role gives you the opportunity to secure major contracts with top General Contractors while directly driving project profitability.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Prepare precise cost estimates, material takeoffs, and bid packages for commercial construction and specialty insulation projects.
• Drive strategic business development efforts to secure new contracts from large General Contractors.
• Manage daily project operations, budgets, and scheduling from initial bid through final closeout.
• Coordinate on-site workflows with field crews to ensure safety standards and quality control.
• Diagnose and resolve job-site challenges, scope changes, and project timeline adjustments.
• Utilize provided technology packages to track field progress and maintain accurate project documentation.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in commercial construction estimating and project management.
• Proven track record of building relationships and securing commercial contracts from large General Contractors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, bid submissions, and field logistics simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of working hours to regional project sites.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of specialized experience in Fireproofing, Firestopping, Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation, or Plaster/Stucco/EIFS.
• Prior hands-on experience managing specialty trade crews and complex subcontracts.

About Us:

Installtec, Inc. is a specialty contractor providing fireproofing, protective coatings, insulation, acoustical, and exterior wall systems for commercial and industrial construction projects. Based in North Kansas City, Missouri, we serve general contractors, steel fabricators, owners, and industrial clients throughout the region.

Our capabilities include spray-applied fireproofing, intumescent fireproofing, shop-applied fireproofing and protective coatings, spray foam insulation, acoustical treatments, EIFS and stucco systems, air barriers, and firestopping.

Installtec also offers controlled shop application of intumescent fireproofing and high-performance coatings. Structural steel can be received directly at our facility, coated under controlled conditions, inspected for quality and specified thickness, and shipped to the project site ready for erection. Our field crews can then complete connection work, touch-ups, and final detailing onsite. Installtec combines experienced project management, estimating, field supervision, and skilled applicators with a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and constructability. We work closely with project teams from preconstruction through completion to identify practical solutions, maintain production, and deliver systems that meet project specifications and tested assembly requirements.
