Core responsibilities
- Run shear and press brake equipment to shape and form sheet metal, plate, and structural metals.
- Follow blueprints, reading and interpreting details to produce parts to spec.
- Measure accurately with a tape measure to confirm dimensions during and after forming.
Must-have skills
- Hands-on familiarity with shear and press brake machines.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Confidence using a tape measure for precise measurements.
Physical demands
- Stand for long periods in a production environment.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach overhead, perform repetitive lifting, and squat.
- Lift at least 70 lbs as part of daily tasks.
