Cable Technician
Pay Range: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
Outsource is seeking a motivated Cable Technician to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a local, non-travel position ideal for a candidate with at least 1 year of hands-on cable installation or repair experience. You'll play a key role in delivering reliable connectivity solutions to residential and commercial customers in the area. Job Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain cable, internet, and voice services at customer locations
- Run and terminate coaxial, fiber, and Ethernet cabling in residential and commercial settings
- Diagnose and troubleshoot signal issues using industry-standard testing equipment
- Educate customers on equipment setup and basic troubleshooting steps
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, materials used, and service completion
- Ensure all installations meet safety codes and company quality standards
- Coordinate with dispatch and team members to manage daily service schedules
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in cable installation, telecommunications, or related field
- Working knowledge of coaxial, fiber optic, and Ethernet cabling systems
- Familiarity with signal testing tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing a daily route in the Charleston area
- Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay range of $18.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and project requirements
