Warehouse Quality Control Supervisor
Reports To: Warehouse Quality Control Manager
Job Summary
The Warehouse Quality Control Supervisor oversees Quality Control operations across all shifts and ensures products, processes, and services meet company, food safety, regulatory, and customer requirements. This position leads quality assurance activities, supervises employees, and ensures compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF, safety, and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Quality Control operations across all shifts.
- Supervise warehouse products and processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage quality inspections and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials.
- Monitor and enforce HACCP, GMP, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare quality reports and documentation, including corrective actions, recalls, failed processes, and re-validations.
- Investigate customer concerns, complaints, and discrepancy reports and assist with resolutions.
- Communicate quality-related information with clients and internal management.
- Assign employee duties and schedules, conduct evaluations, and support employee development.
- Work with warehouse supervisors and associates to maintain quality and productivity standards.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Ensure company policies, safety procedures, and departmental standards are followed.
- Be flexible to work any shift based on business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Approximately 2 years of Quality Assurance or Production Supervisor experience; wholesale, food distribution, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with HACCP, GMP, SQF, and food safety principles.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and WMS systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Some college-level management education preferred but not required with relevant experience.
- Relevant food safety or quality certifications preferred.
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse/distribution center environment with varying temperatures.
- Must be available to work any shift based on operational needs.
