Job Description

Home Care Operations Manager

Non-Medical Home Care

FirstLight Home Care - Encinitas, CA | Full-Time, On-Site | $75,000-$85,000/year

Help Us Build the Next Stage of FirstLight Home Care

FirstLight Home Care is an established and rapidly growing non-medical home care company serving

communities throughout San Diego County.

We are a caregiver-first company, built by caregivers, for caregivers - and ultimately for the clients

who depend on them. Our Owner started as a caregiver and still considers himself one today. That

perspective drives how we operate, how we treat our team, and how we make decisions.

We have experienced explosive growth, and demand for our services continues to grow faster than our

current capacity. We are investing in the people, technology, recruiting, scheduling, and operational structure needed to take the company to the next level.

That's why we're hiring this position.

We're looking for an experienced home care leader who gets excited about building - not someone who

simply wants to walk into a finished corporate machine and maintain it. You'll work directly with the Owner

and a dynamic team to help build the processes, structure, accountability, and leadership foundation that will support our next stage of growth.

This is an opportunity to have a real voice in where we are going and how we get there.

Are You Ready to Build - and Have Some Fun Doing It?

We work hard. We move fast. We care deeply about our caregivers and our clients. But we also believe you

should enjoy the people you work with and have some fun along the way.

We laugh. We support each other. We celebrate wins. We solve problems together. And we are building a

team of people who genuinely enjoy what they do.

If you're looking to walk into a finished corporate machine where the systems have already been

built, the decisions have already been made, and your job is simply to maintain what someone else

created, this isn't for you.

There's work to be done here - and that's the opportunity.

We're looking for someone who gets excited about building. Someone who sees a problem and wants to

solve it. Someone who wants a voice in how the operation develops and takes pride in looking back six

months or a year from now and saying, "I helped build that."

If you are an experienced home care professional who has looked at an operation and thought, "I

know how we could make this better," we want to talk to you.

What You'll Lead

As our Home Care Operations Manager, youll play a central role in building and leading our day-to-day

operation.

Lead the day-to-day operations of our home care organization

Manage, support, develop, and hold our office team accountable

Help build stronger operational processes and systems as we grow

Oversee caregiver scheduling, staffing, call-offs, and coverage

Strengthen caregiver recruiting, onboarding, retention, and workforce capacity

Develop better processes around caregiver availability, utilization, and overtime

Maintain a high level of service and responsiveness for clients and families

Ensure operational issues are followed through to resolution

Maintain compliance with California home care requirements and company policies

Create greater consistency, communication, and accountability across the operation

Work directly with the Owner on growth and operational planning

Help integrate new clients, caregivers, team members, and territories as the company continues to expand

Who We're Looking For

Professional experience in non-medical/private-duty home care is required.

Experience using WellSky or a comparable home care management software platform is required.

You must already be comfortable working within a home care management system for scheduling, caregiver management, client management, documentation, and day-to-day operations.

We're looking for someone who already understands the realities of this business - caregivers, clients,

scheduling, recruiting, call-offs, compliance, and the constant moving pieces that come with home care.

Your current title is not as important as your experience. You may currently be a Branch Manager, Care

Manager, Office Manager, Operations Manager, Client Services Manager, Scheduling Manager,

Recruitment/Compliance Manager, or another experienced home care leader ready for a larger opportunity.

We're especially interested in someone who:

Has hands-on experience in non-medical home care operations

Knows how to lead, motivate, and develop people

Understands scheduling, staffing, recruiting, and caregiver retention

Can create structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy

Takes ownership and follows things through

Doesn't need to be chased to get things done

Can identify problems and build practical solutions

Is comfortable in a growing organization where not every process has already been perfected

Wants to have a meaningful role in building something, rather than simply maintaining what someone else

built

What We Offer

$75,000-$85,000 annual salary

Medical insurance

401(k) with 3% employer match

Flexible PTO - up to three weeks annually

Direct access to and partnership with the Owner

An established company experiencing significant growth

The opportunity to help shape how the organization operates as we grow

A genuine path to increased leadership responsibility

A dynamic, supportive team that works hard and has fun doing it

A caregiver-first culture where people actually matter

Where This Can Go

This position isn't intended to be the ceiling. We're building a larger organization throughout San Diego

County, and we want someone who can grow with it.

For the right person, there is a path from Operations Manager to Director to potentially VP-level

operational leadership as the organization continues to develop.

We're not looking for someone to simply fill a management position.

We're looking for someone who wants to help us build whats next.

If you know the home care business, know how to lead people, are not afraid to roll up your sleeves,

and want to help build one of the most exciting home care operations in San Diego, we want to meet

you.

Come help us build what's next.
