Seeking a confident and positive process engineer that can work with and support our new customer onboarding team. This resource will collaborate with the team made up of resources from sales, production, customer service and the business unit manager to effectively and efficiently onboard new business and new customers. You will help support an implementation team in building estimates, quotes, and proposals to support the sales process and our customers for Elektro Assemblies.

Elektro Assemblies is a contract manufacturer that is growing rapidly - we are looking for self-directed ambitious technical resources that want to lead. You will be asked to help grow sales and the business! The person must be able to collaborate with customers, suppliers, and our internal team to Grow Sales by doing the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Estimate and quote new opportunities to help grow sales - we will train you
  • Support production in onboarding new business - process and standard work development to ensure success
  • Accurate product costs and margins on quoted and supplied products
  • Continuous Improvement of processes, lead times, and customer communications
  • Complete, accurate, and timely communications with customers and internal team members
  • Work directly with sales managers and customers to determine customer needs
  • Collaborate with production, suppliers and purchasing to develop cost estimates / quotes
  • Work with detailed product specifications – electrical wiring, connectors, enclosures, and assemblies to meet or exceed customer needs on requests for quotes.
  • Interact directly with customers on product updates, changes, and revisions to verify accuracy
  • Financial analysis to determine cost and margins – make recommendations to leadership
  • Support production with specifications and processes to ensure parts meet customer needs
  • Ensure changes are documented, filed, and communicated to all stakeholders
  • Assists in standardizing product specifications to increase production efficiency / reduce costs.
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate changes to all stakeholders
  • Develop and manage product records, including BOMs, Routings, Quotes and Prints
  • Collaborate with sales, production and purchasing to get product made to specification on-time

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 2–year technical degree is a must (engineering / technical)
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in a technical role with similar requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven history of successful project management
  • Proven record of leading teams and people
  • Proficient at reading and interpreting prints and technical specifications
  • Experience with quoting, system maintenance: New part number set-up, BOMs, Routings, and standard work instructions to support sales, operations, and customers is a huge plus.
  • Computer literate: MS Office products and ERP systems
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient at reading and interpreting prints and technical specifications
  • Strong business acumen – must know develop and support a business case and recommendations to grow profitable sales.
