This role prepares and operates a variety of CNC machine tools to produce precision metal parts and instruments. You will load materials, tools, and programs into CNC equipment, verify first-part dimensions against specifications, and ensure high-quality production by applying strong knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. The position requires working independently within established procedures and demonstrating proficiency across multiple machining competencies.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a clean, fast-paced job shop environment with a focus on precision machining. Most CNC equipment in use includes Haas and Mazak machines. The role operates on structured shifts: first shift runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and second shift runs Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., with overtime available as needed. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established procedures while working with CNC machinery, cutting tools, fluids, and inspection equipment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Duluth, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
