For nearly 30 years, Wasp has helped businesses across the world gain visibility, reduce errors, and improve operating efficiency. Whether managing inventory across multiple sites or tracking fixed assets, Wasp delivers scalable, easy-to-use barcode hardware and software.

We are looking for an Integration Engineer – ERP & n8n to serve as Wasp’s integration and n8n specialist. You will design, build, and support integrations that connect Wasp AssetCloud and Wasp InventoryCloud with our customers’ accounting, ERP, and commerce systems, starting with accounting and ERP platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You will establish the shared data models and reusable workflow components that allow each new integration to build on the last. Prior experience with Wasp products is not required, but familiarity with inventory and asset management workflows is expected.

Accountabilities

    • Design, build, and maintain integrations between Wasp AssetCloud, Wasp InventoryCloud, and third-party accounting, ERP, and commerce systems using n8n
    • Develop a shared data model and reusable components (sub-workflows, data mappings, and custom nodes) so integrations share logic within and across system categories
    • Map and synchronize core inventory and asset data, including items, locations, stock levels, purchase and sales orders, receiving, and related general ledger entries
    • Implement consistent error handling, retry logic, logging, and monitoring so integrations are reliable and supportable in production
    • Partner with product management to prioritize and plan integrations by category, beginning with ERP and expanding to e-commerce and other systems
    • Administer the n8n environment, including deployment, upgrades, and secure credential management
    • Document integration architecture, configuration, and support procedures for engineering, support, and customer-facing teams

Key Competencies

    • Passionate about technology and automation
    • Strong attention to detail, especially in data mapping and validation
    • Great problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Systems thinker who designs for reuse rather than one-off solutions

Requirements

    • Willingness to work in a pragmatic way (sometimes a B+ solution for 20 hours is better than an A+ solution that would take 100 hours)
    • Hands-on experience building integrations with at least one accounting or ERP system: QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
    • Experience building production workflows on an iPaaS platform (n8n, Boomi, Workato, MuleSoft, or similar)
    • Working knowledge of the inventory and asset management domain, including items, locations, stock levels, purchase and sales orders, receiving, and how those flow to the general ledger
    • Experience designing reusable integration patterns, such as shared data mappings, modular sub-workflows, and consistent error handling and retry logic
    • Working knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML, and OAuth 2.0
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. May consider experience in lieu of education.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Production n8n experience, including self-hosting, custom nodes, and sub-workflow design
    • QuickBooks Desktop (Enterprise) integration via qbXML and the QuickBooks Web Connector
    • NetSuite SuiteTalk REST Web Services or SuiteScript
    • SAP Business One
    • E-commerce platform integrations, especially Shopify
    • JavaScript or TypeScript for custom n8n nodes and data transformations
