Job Title: Instrument Assembler
Location: Milpitas, CA (Onsite)
Pay: $28/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Contract: 12 months (extension possible)
Job Description:
We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to assemble flow cytometers, sub-assemblies, and related medical device products. The role involves working with optical, mechanical, fluidic, and electronic components while following established procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble products and components according to work orders, drawings, BOMs, and procedures.
- Perform in-process inspections and document results accurately.
- Complete required production and Device History Record (DHR) documentation.
- Use hand tools and demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
- Read and follow assembly instructions, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, QA, and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Collect and document measurements and production data.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training or an A.S. degree is a plus.
- 2+ years of related experience in a high-tech or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with electro-mechanical assembly and hand tools.
- Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Windows/Mac OS.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to reach, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs. daily.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing, ISO 9000, cGMP, or 21 CFR Part 820 is a plus.
