Job Title: Business Development Manager
Job Description
The Business Development Manager supports growth throughout the South Houston territory by developing new municipal utility relationships, expanding market presence, and identifying opportunities within the water and wastewater industry. This primarily field-based role focuses on building strategic relationships with municipalities, contractors, engineers, and utility operators, while positioning the company for long-term growth. The person in this role will serve as the primary market-facing representative, driving new opportunities, communicating technical solutions, and managing a defined sales territory with a high degree of independence.

Work Environment
This role operates primarily in a field-based, customer-facing environment, with a standard first shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position involves frequent travel throughout Southwest Houston (Jackson and Fort Bend County primarily) and surrounding territories, with mileage provided along with a company truck supplied for field work. The work is largely home-based, with regular customer visits, site visits, and project meetings forming the core of daily activities. Approximately one day per week is spent in the office in Edna, TX, supporting collaboration, planning, and coordination with internal teams. The schedule is flexible and driven by customer meetings, project timelines, and business development activities, requiring adaptability and strong time-management skills. The environment includes exposure to municipal and utility facilities, control systems, and wastewater treatment sites, where professional field attire and adherence to safety practices are expected.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
