Step Into a Day That Moves
Schedule: Day Shift (Weekdays)
Picture this: you arrive at our high-tech Prysmian facility and walk the production floor, where fiberoptic cable lines hum with precision. You review overnight run data, meet with operators and fellow engineers, and set priorities that keep quality high and throughput strong. By midday, you’re on the line dialing in equipment parameters for a new product trial; by afternoon, you’re documenting a process update and planning the next round of continuous improvement experiments.
What Your Work Looks Like
- Dig into production metrics to spot trends and turn signals into clear improvement actions.
- Drive process refinements that lift yield, boost efficiency, and elevate product performance.
- Partner with production teams to finetune equipment settings and maximize uptime.
- Support new product introductions through controlled trials and method enhancements.
- Troubleshoot issues on the floor, assist with machine setups, and coordinate upgrade activities.
- Collaborate across Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production to remove roadblocks.
- Create clear SOPs, training guides, and technical documentation that stick.
- Advance continuous improvement using Lean practices, 6S, and rootcause analysis.
Who Thrives Here
This role fits an earlycareer engineer ready to learn fast and grow into expanded ownership. You’ll be handson, curious, and comfortable in a fastmoving manufacturing setting where no two days are the same.
What You Bring
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar).
- 0–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Sharp analytical thinking and structured problemsolving.
- Teamfirst mindset with a strong appetite to learn.
- Comfort working on a busy production floor.
- Nice to have: exposure to fiber optics or wire & cable, ERP platforms, Excel, or Minitab.
Shape What’s Next
At Prysmian, your ideas matter. Your growth matters. And your work helps connect the world. If you’re ready to accelerate your engineering journey with a global leader in fiberoptic cable, we’d love to meet you.
