RI Temps is recruiting an experienced Landscape Construction Project Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with our client.

If you enjoy managing impressive residential construction projects, working with talented field teams, solving problems, and seeing a project develop from plans on paper into a finished property, this could be an excellent opportunity.

We are looking for an experienced construction professional to manage multiple large-scale residential landscape and site construction projects from pre-construction through completion.

This is not simply a landscaping position. We are looking for someone with genuine construction project management experience who understands budgets, schedules, plans, field operations, subcontractors, safety, quality, and client expectations.

What You'll Do

• Manage multiple residential construction projects from planning through completion
• Assist with estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and pre-construction planning
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, specifications, and project documents
• Coordinate field layout, crews, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and materials
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Monitor job costs, budgets, productivity, purchasing, and overall project financial performance
• Coordinate and negotiate subcontractor and vendor buyouts
• Manage change orders and changing project conditions
• Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress, quality, safety, and scheduling
• Work closely with Field Supervisors, Foremen, Crew Leaders, and subcontractors
• Identify potential construction issues before they become major problems
• Develop practical and creative solutions to field challenges
• Maintain strong communication with clients, designers, vendors, and internal teams
• Ensure finished work meets design intent, quality standards, and client expectations
• Manage punch lists and project closeout
• Mentor and support Assistant Project Managers and field leadership

What We're Looking For

At least 5 years of relevant construction project management experience is strongly preferred.

Experience may come from:

• Landscape construction
• High-end residential construction
• Site development
• Hardscape/Masonary construction
• Excavation/site work
• Civil construction
• Other related construction environments

Candidates should also have:

• Strong blueprint and construction-plan reading skills
• Experience managing budgets and job costs
• Scheduling and subcontractor coordination experience
• Knowledge of construction safety and field operations
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent client and team communication skills
• Ability to manage several active projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management/scheduling software
• Smartsheet experience is a plus

A bachelor’s degree in construction management, Landscape Construction, Landscape Architecture, or a related field is preferred, but strong relevant construction experience may substitute for a degree.
